About This Site & Our Methodology
This is an independent editorial resource focused on a single game: Big Bass Bonanza by Pragmatic Play. We are not a casino. We do not accept bets, process deposits, or run any gambling service. Our job is narrow on purpose — to document how this one slot actually behaves, using numbers from the game itself rather than marketing copy.
The site is maintained by a small editorial team that plays the game in demo mode, reads the in-game information panel, and cross-checks figures against published Pragmatic Play data and community datasets. Where a number can change from casino to casino (RTP is the obvious one), we say so and show you how to check it yourself.
How we test and verify
1. We read the game, not the ad copy
Every mechanic claim — RTP, max win, retrigger behaviour, whether Bonus Buy exists — is taken from the game's own information panel (tap the info button, page through to the rules and RTP pages). If a figure can't be confirmed in-game or in Pragmatic Play's official materials, we don't state it as fact.
2. We test in free demo mode
We run the original Big Bass Bonanza (2020) in Pragmatic Play's free demo to confirm gameplay details first-hand: the 10 paylines, the Fisherman Wild collect mechanic, the ×2/×3/×10 retrigger ladder, and the 2,100× win cap. Demo mode runs the full 96.71% RTP build, so behaviour matches real-money play.
3. We separate the original from the sequels
Most errors online come from mixing up Big Bass Bonanza (2020) with Bigger Bass Bonanza (2021) and later titles that added Bonus Buy and Ante Bet. We keep the two strictly apart and flag the differences wherever they matter.
4. We label estimates as estimates
Some figures — bonus frequency around 1 in 183 spins, for example — come from large community spin-tracking datasets, not from Pragmatic Play. These are estimates with real variance, and we present them that way. We never dress up a community statistic as an official one.
5. We re-check when the game changes
RTP settings, casino availability, and sequel releases change over time. We revisit the core pages on a recurring basis and stamp each one with a "last updated" date so you know how fresh the information is.
Our sources
In order of priority, the data on this site comes from:
1. The in-game information panel of Big Bass Bonanza (rules, paytable, and the RTP page).
2. Pragmatic Play's official game data for the title (RTP settings of 96.71% / 95.67% / 94.50%, max win, volatility rating).
3. Community spin-tracking datasets for behavioural estimates such as bonus frequency, clearly labelled as estimates.
4. Hands-on demo testing for anything we can observe directly.
Editorial standards & corrections
We aim to be accurate before we aim to be persuasive. If you spot a figure that looks wrong — an RTP that doesn't match what your casino shows, a mechanic we've described incorrectly — tell us and we will check it against the game and correct the page. Corrections are made on the page itself, and the "last updated" date is changed to reflect them.
We do not publish guaranteed-win systems, "cheats," or claims that you can beat the RTP. Slots are games of chance; anyone promising otherwise is selling something. Our tips are about bankroll discipline and informed choices, not beating the math.
How we make money
This site uses affiliate links. When you click through to a casino and sign up, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That funding keeps the site free, but it does not buy a better review: the numbers on every page come from the game, not from sponsors, and we describe the slot the same way whether or not a casino pays us. Demo games linked here are always free to play.
Play responsibly
Gambling can be addictive. Big Bass Bonanza is a high-volatility game, which means long losing streaks are normal and the advertised max win is rare. Only ever play with money you can afford to lose, and never chase losses. If gambling stops being fun, see our responsible gambling page for support resources. You must be 18 or older (or the legal age in your country) to play.
